HYROX Training Comes to Brisbane: Club Bunker Named Official HYROX Training Club

HYROX has officially arrived in Brisbane. Club Bunker is proud to be recognised as an Official HYROX Training Club. That means you can now train with the same race-format workouts, movement standards, and structured programming used by HYROX athletes all over the world, right here in Newstead.

What is HYROX?

HYROX is the global fitness race that combines endurance and functional strength in one challenge. Every event follows the same format: 8 x 1km runs, each followed by a functional workout station. It’s designed for everyone, from weekend warriors to elite athletes, and focuses on performance, pacing, and smart training rather than pure luck or technique.

Events are now popping up across Australia, and for Brisbane locals, Club Bunker is the place to prepare. Whether you’re training for your first race or looking to beat your last HYROX time, our programming mirrors the exact structure you’ll face on race day.

Why Train HYROX at Club Bunker

Club Bunker in Newstead has everything you need to prepare properly for HYROX. Our gym includes a dedicated 4x10m sled track, performance-based CrossFit and conditioning zones, and InBody 570 body scans to track your progress along the way. Add our expert coaches, recovery room, and community of driven members, and you’ve got the perfect setup to train, recover, and perform at your best.

We’re one of the few facilities in Brisbane with the space and equipment to replicate real HYROX race conditions. You’ll train with sled pushes, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, rowing, and running intervals in one integrated environment. Every workout is designed to challenge both your aerobic engine and muscular endurance, the two pillars of HYROX performance.

What It Means to Be an Official HYROX Training Club

As an Official HYROX Training Club, Club Bunker has direct access to HYROX programming and resources. You’ll find dedicated HYROX classes and simulation workouts on our schedule, all run by experienced coaches who understand pacing, standards, and technique for each movement. These aren’t official HYROX events; they’re designed to help you perform better when you hit the race floor.

Our affiliation connects you to the global HYROX community while giving you local, in-person coaching to help you prepare the right way. Every class follows a structured progression that builds fitness across all HYROX movements including running, sled push and pull, burpees, rowing, skiing, and more.
